Peyton is from our Arkansas 14u team. PNUT showcased remarkable defensive skills this weekend, achieving a perfect fielding percentage in right field. Notably, one of her outs came from an impressive effort that was very close to first base and in foul territory—an example of the determination and hustle that every coach dreams of from their players. At the plate, she held her own against older and more experienced competition, consistently putting the ball in play and limiting her strikeouts. Her ability to work the count and secure a walk displayed her growing confidence and patience as a hitter. Despite being just 11 years old and competing against 16/18u teams, PNUT did not shy away from the challenge. After four games on Saturday, she ended up with the highest fielding percentage of the day, proving that age and size are no match for her incredible heart and effort. Her quick adaptation to a higher level of play and focus on the game rather than the competition speaks volumes about her character and potential.
